06 June 2013 Hi can anyone tell whats the difference between CENVAT & VAT? When does both CENVAT & VAT applicable for any purchase or sale??

16 June 2013 CENVAT is the valude added tax under Central Excise & Service tax comes under Union subject

VAT is the Value added Tax under commercial tax for the respective states.
