sir my 1 friend is in pcc....n last time he got exemption in accounts n law...i'e 60 in each...n he missed on 2nd group bcz f aggregate...now sum1 told him dat...how much evr marks he will get in audit...lets assume...40 only...his 1st group's total will b ... 160...he will get 10 marks as set/off in group -2...his exams r on...n he wants to get his doubt cleared asap...plz reply at ur earliest.. thanking you... regards

If he gets 40+marks in Audit, He is passed in Group I. In order to pass in group II, he needs to get atleast 40 in all the 3 papers & in agrregate it should be 50%.
Offset of the Group I & Grp II applies only in the same attempt & not otherwise. Hope it is cleared
A candidate who fail one or more papers comprised in a group but secure a minimum of 60 % of the marks in any paper or papers of that group shall be eligible to appear at any one or more of the immediately next three following examinations in the paper or papers in which he secured less than 60% marks. He shall be declared to have passed in that group if he secure at one sitting a minimum of 40%marks in each of such papers and a minimum of 50% of the total marks of all the papers of the total group including the paper or papers in which he secured a minimum of 60% marks in the earlier examinations referred above. He shall not be eligible for further any exemptions in the remaining papers of that group until he has exhausted the exemption already granted to him in that group.

As he not cleared group 1, you need another 40 marks in Auditing & AS FOR AS YOU GROUP 2 IS CONCERNED, YOU WILL HAVE TO GET 40 MARKS IN EASH SUBJECT & AGREEGATE 50% SHOULD BE THERE TO GET PASS CERTIFICATE.
