29 November 2012 Dear Ankur
For Import of Radar you need two license from WPC, the first one is Network License to operate and the other one is Non-Network License to operate for import.

Radar fall under Radio Navigational Apparatus category and if equipment vendor is alredy approved vendor than its quite easy to get the license otherwise the applicant need to file a request with WPC to add new vendor or equipment type.

An import license from WPC is required to import any wireless equipment and requirement vary for end user and DPL holder so the exact procedure can be mentioned only after knowing Import purpose.

For Radar the applicant need the following approval as follows

Agreement in Principle (AIP)
RADAR
• Permission/NOC from DG Shipping/AAI, IMD, Air Force as applicable
• On line application & printed copy
• Equipment details along with technical literature
• Justification for the requirement
• details and status of earlier assignments, if any.

B. For Wireless Operating License (WOL) for the all above categories.
• Request for issue of WOL
• Copy of decision letter (AIP)
• Copy of SACFA claerence/Mast height exemtion
• Equipment commercial invoice.
• Payment details.
