Updation Of UDIN on revised TAR

24 May 2022 I have revised a TAR and generated a new UDIN of the same. I also had generated a UDIN for my original report.Now on the portal for updation of UDIN both original and revised TAR are showing.So my query is that whether i have to update both original and revised report and if so then by which UDIN number?

11 July 2024 When you revise a Tax Audit Report (TAR) and generate a new UDIN (Unique Document Identification Number) for the revised report, both the original and the revised TARs need to be updated on the UDIN portal. Here’s how you can proceed:

1. **Update Original TAR**: Use the UDIN generated for the original TAR to update its details on the UDIN portal. This ensures that the UDIN assigned to the original report is linked correctly with the details and any changes made.

2. **Update Revised TAR**: Similarly, use the UDIN generated for the revised TAR to update its details on the UDIN portal. Provide the updated information reflecting the revisions made in the report.

Here’s a step-by-step approach:

- **Access UDIN Portal**: Log in to the UDIN portal using your credentials.
- **Select Original TAR UDIN**: Find and select the UDIN that was generated for the original TAR.

- **Select Revised TAR UDIN**: Now, find and select the UDIN that was generated for the revised TAR.

- **Submit Updates**: After verifying the details, submit the updates for both the original and revised TARs separately.
