This query is : Resolved

07 February 2023 Dear Sir/Madam,I have applied for CA INTERMEDIATE Group II for May 2023 attempt under unit 10 scheme. I have not give attempt for May 2022 &Nov2022. I have opted unit 10 in notification it has been mentioned that single sitting. What is the meaning of single sitting. Is I need to write 3 papers or 4 papers? . Please resolve this issue sir/madam.

11 July 2024 In the context of CA Intermediate under the new scheme (Unit 10), "single sitting" typically refers to attempting all the papers of a particular group in a single examination session.

For CA Intermediate Group II under the Unit 10 scheme for May 2023 attempt:
- You will need to write a total of 4 papers.
- These papers include:
1. Paper 5: Advanced Accounting
2. Paper 6: Auditing and Assurance
3. Paper 7: Enterprise Information Systems & Strategic Management
4. Paper 8: Financial Management & Economics for Finance

Since you have opted for Unit 10, which allows you to attempt all papers of Group II in a single sitting, you will need to prepare and appear for all the above-mentioned papers in May 2023.

Here’s a breakdown of what "single sitting" means in your case:
- You will attempt all four papers (Paper 5 to Paper 8) together in the May 2023 examination.
- This is different from the earlier scheme where the exams were divided into groups and sub-groups, allowing candidates to attempt papers across multiple attempts.

To summarize:
- "Single sitting" means you will attempt all papers of Group II (Paper 5 to Paper 8) in one examination session.
- You need to prepare for and write 4 papers in total for the May 2023 attempt.
