We have an office in Delhi and this is registered with all department.
Recently we take an office in Mumbai also.
We will work from both the offices.

So I want to know that there is any requirement to intimate service tax department for new office or this is necessary to apply central excise no.

There is any need to intimate to any department.

Pls. guide me.

17 December 2009 If you follow central accounting system than you are not required to apply for service tax number and if you follows branch accounting method and also doing accounting in mumbai office than you have to apply for a saperate service tax number in mumbai

We will use our Letter Head address mentioned of Mumbai Office is in upper part
and Delhi Office address will be in Lower part.
I mean that can we use our both addresses for billing or Quotation or everywhere by using our Delhi Service Tax No.

17 December 2009 Yes you need to intimate the officer about the new office in mumbai.
You may choose not to apply for a seperate service tax number for mumbai branch, but intimation to the officer is reqd.
You may centralize the biling procedure.
