Treatment of short term capital gain on sale of bond

19 July 2012 If we purchase a bond cum interest & if we sale the same cum interest, whether we should consider it as short term capital gain on sale of bond during the year????

20 August 2012 if the bonds are sold through a recognized stock exchange and security transaction tax is charged, then stcg may come in picture, otherwise its normal taxable profit.
