Simple: In a Double Entry System you cannot enter a un tallied journal or any other postings i mean.... every entry has equal debits and credits... so whatever your posting right or wrong your TB will tally ... If your TB doesn't tally you have to verify your opening balances... get you last years audited financial statements and very your opening trail balances
