just one problem. Once your articleship start, ICAI wont allow you to continue with regular b.com. So while I do agree to expert comments in substance, legally, you may not find favor with ICAI.

You can do Articleship with Regular B.Com provided your timing is suitable say Morning Classes. Many a student do regular B.Com with Articleship.
As per Regulations 65 and 78, it is compulsory for students undergoing articleship to take permission of the Institute of Chartered Accountancy of India (ICAI). An articled/ audit assistant who wants to join a regular course must submit Form 112 with college timings, college address, recommendation of employer and signature of college principal. The articled assistant should work for 35 hours a week and the additional course should not disturb training timings.
