Time limit 4 presenting share trf. form to the company

05 January 2012 What is the time limit for presenting duly filled and complete share transfer form before the company from the date of presenting to the prescribed authority i.e.RoC?

It's very urgent friends & experts!!!!!!!!

05 January 2012 A duly executed Transfer form shall be delivered to the company for registration of the transfer, together with related certificate(s) of shares or the letter of allotment-

(i) in the case of transfer of shares of a company whose shares are listed - At any time before the date on which the register of members is closed for the first time after the date on which the form was presented to the prescribed authority for dating or within 12 months from the date of such presentation, whichever is later

(ii) in case of transfer of shares of any other company- within 2 months from the date of presentation of the form to the prescribed authority.--Section 108 (1A)(b)

05 January 2012 In case of a Pvt Ltd Company and Public unlisted Company within 2 Months from the date mentioned on the Share Transfer Deed (7B).

In Case Shares are quoted on SE then

At any time befor closure of Books of members or within 12 months from the date mentioned on 7B.

WHICHEVER IS LATER.


05 January 2012 the procedure specified by Mitesh is correct. Jitendra It is closure of Members register and not books of A/c's.
