Termination of articleship after 1yr.

29 February 2016 hello,
I m in 2nd year of ca articleship now i want to terminate from my present auditor due to some health problem.should i intimate the same to my auditor before sending the medical certificate to ICAI.I want the procedure and documents required to get terminate. i want to know the detailed procedure.

29 February 2016 you cannot apply for ICAI approval suomoto. The request for transfer on medical grounds shall be signed by the principal and should company all medical records including medical certificate to justify the transfer request. Once the approval is received you and your principal need to sign Form 109 and send it to ICAI

29 February 2016 Thank you for the info.
Is medical certificete must be signed by the auditor.but when i enquired in the icai chennai,they told me to post the medical certificate and a letter mentioning the reason for termination thats it.if i m wrong plz tell me what is the correct process.
