Dear sir, one of my friends wants to conduct an exhibition sale in cochin for 3- 6 months.He does not have KVAT Registeration currently.Is any chance to get a temperory registeration for the purpose or what is the rule.Please advise on this Thank&Regards Binu

In such cases registration as a casual trader is given. You can do it on-line also.From the web site ctax.kar.nic.in,go for e-rgistration,you will get a form.fill it up and attach required documents. You will get an accepted reference no. Note it and go to the LVO office of the area and they will do the needful....mjk
