Tds will be deducted u/s on participation charges

Kindly let me Know if TDS is applicable on participation charges so that the TDS will be deducted u/s and How much.

02 August 2018 Sir From your Query it is not clear, where participation fee is paid. If your are participating in a Programme where you have to use your Knowlegde, Technical Know How, Personal Skill then It is suggested that, you shoud deduct TDS U/s194 J @ 10%.

In Otherwise Case, deduct TDS @ 2%
