11 July 2024 It sounds like you're facing a situation where the TDS remittance of Rs. 50,000 was debited from your bank account, but the challan was not generated, and the amount has not been re-credited either. Here’s what you can do to resolve this issue:

### Steps to Resolve the Issue:

1. **Check Payment Status:**
- Log in to the Income Tax e-Filing portal using your credentials.
- Navigate to the 'Payments' or 'Payment History' section to check if the payment is reflected there.

2. **Verify Bank Account Debit:**
- Verify the debit of Rs. 50,000 from your bank account using your bank statement or online banking platform.

3. **Check Challan Status:**
- If the challan is still under 'Generated Challans' and shows 'awaiting bank confirmation', it indicates that the bank confirmation process is pending.

4. **Follow-up with Grievance Submission:**
- Since you have already submitted grievances on 06.04.2023 regarding this issue, continue to monitor the status of your grievance.

5. **Contact Income Tax Department:**
- Contact the Income Tax Department helpline or log in to the e-Filing portal to submit a grievance again if necessary.
- Provide them with details such as CRN (Challan Reference Number), transaction date, and amount.

6. **Email Correspondence:**
- Since you have already informed the IT department via email, ensure you keep copies of all correspondence for reference.

7. **Request for Re-credit:**
- If the amount has not been re-credited to your bank account and the challan remains pending, you may need to request re-credit of the amount through the Income Tax grievance portal or by contacting the CPC (Centralized Processing Center).

8. **Monitor and Follow-up:**
- Regularly check the status of your grievance and payment on the e-Filing portal.
- Follow up with the Income Tax Department or CPC for updates on the resolution of your issue.

### Additional Tips:

- **Document Everything:** Keep detailed records of all communications, transaction IDs, emails, and any other relevant documents related to this issue.
- **Professional Assistance:** If the issue persists or if you need further assistance, consider consulting a tax professional or contacting a tax advisor for guidance.

By following these steps and maintaining clear communication with the Income Tax Department, you should be able to resolve the issue of the pending TDS remittance and ensure that the amount of Rs. 50,000 is either credited back to your bank account or properly applied to the intended TDS payment.
