WHILE MAKING PAYMENT OF TDS AFTER 01-04-2011 (281 CHALLAN )AND WORK DONE ALSO AFTER 01-04-2011. THEN IN 281 CHALLAN IN ASSESSMENT COLUMN WHICH YEAR WE HAVE TO TAKE? A.Y. AS 2011-12 OR A.Y. AS 2012-13 ? KINDLY CLARIFY ME.

It appears it is contract payment u/s 194C and credit to the payee's account or payment to the payee is in F.Y 2011-2012, then specify Assessment Year- 2012-2013 in challan 281
