Tds on work contract

I have one my friend who is contractor, The contractee has deducted TDS on his work contract work and has issued FORM 402 also.
Now i want to know in detail how to claim refund of that TDS under mvat act for TDS deducted on work contract??

09 July 2015 Hi -

Your Friend must have done some work during the AY. You need to file the return and calculate the tax as normal we do. from the total amount payable\excess paid this TDS need to be deducted. If the income tax if in excess of the deduction, you will have to make the payment via SA challan. In case it is less than the TDS amount, you can claim refund. this will be credited to the back account that is provided during filing of return
