Is it necessary to deduct TDS for warehouse rent paid to any State Warehouse corporations?

State ware housing corporations are established by the Govt Act. like local authorites., No TDS Applicable

Dear Mr. Dhani,
Please state specifically about the deductee. Only Government agency are exempted from payment of Income tax. Establishment by a Special Act is no conclusive that the Corporation is exempt from Income-tax.

You should check the incorporation details of tamilnade warehouse corp....whether its a govt. undertaking or something else....merely because they are related to state govt. does entitle rhem to prevent from TDS provisions.....you should ask warehousing corporation clarification regarding the same....
