19 August 2009 Whether the employer is liable to deduct tax on monetary allowances for telephone expenses given to employees?

19 August 2009 if it is an allowance(fixed) then it will form part of salary & tds is deductible.

Igf it is a reimbursement , then no tds would be deductible.
