Tds on software updation services under notification 21/2012

pl guide on this.

according to notification 21/2012 of income tax act, no TDS will be deducted on subsequent sale of Software.

However, whether TDS is applicable on after sales service e.g. Software up-dation charges / license renewal charges ?
