Sir, I am confused in deduction of tax on Society Maintenance charges collected by the builder. Service tax is also collected on the said charges. Should it be considered as the works contract..? or tds is not applicable for the said expenses

If you are using the premises in the society for your personal use then there should not be any TDS. But if you use it for commercial purpose then TDS should be there in picture subject to threshold limit prescribed for TDS.
