Tds on service tax invoice

08 March 2014 Pls tell me on which amount TDS will Be deductable on Service tax invoice.

Example:
Bill Amount = Rs.1000
Service Tax @ 12.36% = Rs.123.6
Amount payable = Rs.1123.6

On which amount TDS will be deducted whether on Rs.1000/- or Rs.1123.6/-
