dear all, there is clerification regarding tds on service tax is not to be deducted in case of rent - circular no.4 dated 28.04.2008 but i want to know from when it is applicable....????

The circular is applicable to all rent payments made on or after the date of the circular even though such rent pertains to any previous period(s).
