22 December 2009 Is there any provision to a company to deduct the tax at source@7.75% on rent.

22 December 2009 If the Assessee has taken certificate of lower deduction from AO, then the Company has to deduct tax at the rate specified in that certificate otherwise it has to deduct tax at the rates specified in the Act and Rules.

22 December 2009 There is no specefic rate of 7.75 % under sec 194I but if the person got special lesser rate from AO it is possible
