Hi,
I have one query about TDS on Rent.if we are paying Rent Rs.14,000/- Per Month (Say April-Mar), so In Year it's coming Rs.1,68,000/-.As per Changes in TDS thresolds from July'10(i.e 1,80,000),so for the month of April,May and Jun we have deducted TDS on Rent as per Old Thresold (i.e 1,20,000) or Not, Plsase Suggest me, it's very Urgent

No, there is no need to deduct TDS on rent for the month of April & May & June.
Becasue threshold limit is for full financial year 2010-11.

FROM APRIL TO JUNE DEDUCTS TDS @ 10% OR 2% AS APPLICABLE.

FROM JULY TO MARCH TDS IS NOT REQUIRED TO BE DEDUCTED.
&
FROM JULY TO MARCH TDS IS NOT REQUIRED TO BE DEDUCTED.
