I needed a clarification on above please. When paying for Rail Freight neither is Service Tax applicable nor is TDS. We have contracts with Railways for movement of Freight through Rail.
However when we requre excess capacity we use other Contractors to obtain space in Rail and move Freight. Is TDS applicable when we make payment to these Contractors.
