TDS on payment made to foreign Company

27 September 2007 Sir,

Are we liable to deduct tds u/s 194C against payment made to Foreign Shipping Company on import of material. If No please provide us the section & Case law for the same to convince our C.A.

27 September 2007 Foreign Company payments either it comes under DTAA or Sec 195. Please refer those items.
