I heard that there is no need to file the TDS nil return (both 24Q & 26 Q for q.e Sept'13..Is it true?? please clarify..

NO, u need to file even NIL tds return.

As per new notification with effect form 01.10.2013 it is mandatory that Nil TDS Returns Without any Challan and TDS entry, return is not allowed.

Yes, from 16th Feb,2013 Government has made it mandatory to file Nil TDS return as well 15G / 15H details needs to be submitted.
