My son received two TDS Form 16A from deductor for Rs.800 and Rs.2400 (Q3 and Q4). Both the certificates are generated through Traces and Final Booking status is showing 'F'. We validated the amounts with the 7 alpha character certificate number and that also validated successfully. Based on the total credit of Rs.3200 showing on Form 26AS we filed the return with Efiling website.
On checking the Tax Mismatch link in the Efiling website, it shows that only Rs.2400 is available in form 26AS as against tax credit of Rs.3200 claimed by him. We rechecked the Form 26AS in Traces and it shows 3200 with all entries as 'F' Final. Is there any action required to be taken on our part or do we have to approach deductor to do anything specific. Deductor has informed us that the certificate provided to us is generated from the Traces website itself and all amounts are showing as 'F'.

Amount only refundable as per matching TDS with 26AS THROUGH CPC SOFTWARE SYSTEM.
There is no other way except you re-vist your Form 16 or 26AS ( just see - figures , F , B and total 2400 is shown in 26AS) or employer has not deposited even after showing in F-16 or employer adjusted your some dues but they have not given you revised Form 16.

There are two TDS certificates and both are generated from Traces by the deductor. Both of them have been verified on Traces by us (800 for Q3 and 2400 for Q4) using the unique certificate number on the F16A. We also downloaded the PDF Form 26A and there is one entry of 800 in Q3 and 3 entries of 800 in Q4 totalling 3200. All are showing booked as 'F' and no amount is readjusted by deductor in the relevant columns.

The 26AS forms gets updated and changed with - figures also. So before filing take latest and consider that . Also check 26as is for same quarter or next quarter etc.also . Even after all this if u get some less refund that will be final . Sometime deduct or still change is status is not F .THIS IS I AM TELLING BASED on my experience in one case A negative mismatch means due on you will call for recovery notice by CPC.
