is this Limit on annual basis ?

whether TDS will be applicable?

17 August 2011 if rent of Rs. 20000 is paid monthly basis then in your case rent amount is rs. 180000 for 9 month, hence tds is not applicable.

Tds is applicable when rent amount is over to adhoc limit ant time during the year
