theoretically you can. However, the logic to allow shifting TDS credit to future years is that sometimes TDS is deducted in one year however the income accrues to the deductee in the subsequent year.
Also, TDS credit is to be claimed in the year the corresponding income is offered to tax. So, legally, you should claim credit in subsequent year, if you had also forgot to include the corresponding income. Nevertheless, in practical world, you should be able to claim such credit!!
