Tds certificates issued late

04 April 2011 if tds certificates are issued in next year then in which year deductee will claim tds.

e.g. for fy 2009-10 i have rental income which is paid to me by tenant by deducting the tds. But tds certificates is issued later on in Jan. 2011.

Now, whether i have to revise the return of FY 2009-10and claim tds now

or

i will have to claim this tds in fy 2010-11 return

or
will this tds can not be claimed now.

04 April 2011 tds will only claim in its F.Y/A.Y return.
if you have filed return for F.Y 2009-10 with in due date then you can revised your return including your TDS Data or if you have filed belated then you can't revised it.

but you can do is, write a letter to your A.O ward regarding that TDS certificate received lately and attached with calculation format of your F.Y. 09-10. to treat this as refund.

for next time, you have to registered in 26AS so that you don't need to wait for TDS certificate. Just find your TDS deduction from that and file your return without TDS certificate.
