15 February 2008 contract of hiring of light vihicle comes under the perviev of section 194c for the purpose of tds if yes what will be rate.

16 February 2008 If you are taking the vehicle for a fixed period on rental, 194 I will be applicable.
On the otherhand, if you are hiring the services of transport/tour operator, with his vehicle and driver, to take people for a specific journey then 194C will be applicable.
