dear experts
please guide me
if i pay salary 150000 to a employee & his other income is 200000
is it compulsory for me to deduct tds from his salary + other income
the employee asked me not to deduct tds

IF SALARY INCOME AND OTHER INCOME MORE THAN MINIMUM EXEMPTION SLAB THEN EMPLOYER REQUIRED TO DEDUCT TDS U/S 192 SUBJECT TO THAT EMPLOYEE DISCLOSED TO THE EMPLOYER PARTICULARS ABOUT OTHER INCOME

If the employee declares the other income also to the employer then need to deduct the TDS including other income. if not declares you deduct only on salary income

It is not compulsory to deduct TDS of an employee other than his/her salary. When he filing ITR he should pay tax if payable.
