Whether TDS is to be deducted on the Maintenance Charges paid to Market Association if the same is beyond the ceiling limit U/s 194C.

If the transaction fulfill the condition for contract liable to charge @ 2% for Companies and 1% for HUF and Individual.

Mr. Bijoy : the reply u have given is already known to me that if a case fall in the category of Contract then TDS is to be deducted U/s 194C but my question was whether this case falls in the category of Contract or not.

If beyond the ceiling that 75000 in case more than 1 contract and 30000 in case single contract than TDS is required to deduct.
