WHILE MAKING TDS PAYMENTS (281 CHALLAN) ASSESSMENT YEAR MEANS AFTER IST APRIL TO 31ST MARCH ? IS IT CORRECT. SUPPOSE WE MAKING PAYMENTS OF 2009-10 THEN WE TAKE 201-2011 A.Y. IF 2010-2011 PAYMENTS ALSO CAN V TAKE 2010-11 AS A.Y. F.Y MEANS WHAT? CAN WE CLUB WHOLE YEAR AND CAN WE MAKE ONE PAYMENT.

Assessment year means the year which is going to assess your income, ex. your income of the financial year 2010-11 will be assessed during 2011-12.so always assessment year for particular year is next year
