Dear Sir,
I have a query relating to deduction of TDS for purchase of computer software.
The bill value consists of service tax of 10.3% followed by VAT of 4%.Is the payment subject to TDS if so for what amount. i.e Including VAT or excluding VAT.

1.as per my knowledge not required to deduct tds.
2. when required : if you claim input vat then you have to deduct tds excluding vat.

Payment is subject to TDS on full invoice value if the both the taxes are cost to you else you may ignore the Service Tax only for calculation of TDS
