24 August 2013 I am manufacturing firm and i m dispatching material outside the company through transport Is tds is applicable for Carriage Outward? If yes than how many percent?

24 August 2013 DEAR ANONYMOUS,

TAX DEDUCT AT SOURCE(TDS) DOES NOT REQUIRED IN THIS SCENARIO.

BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO MENTIONED THE DETAIL OF PAYMENT AND PAN NO. OF TRANSPORTATION IN TDS RETURN.

24 August 2013 1)tds not applicable on payment to transporter who engaged in transportation of goods as per section 194C(6) if valid PAN card is provided

2)But it is mandatorily required to provide details in tds return,,
