Sir,
If there is a bill of supply of betumin for Rs.5,00,000/- and also included labour charges for laying Rs.50,000/-. The supplier has added VAT 5% on the total amount i.e. Rs.5,50,000/- for Rs.27,500/-.
As the supplier has already added the VAT tax, should we deduct TDS on the labour amount.
Kindly guide.

TDS will be deducted @1/2% u/s 194C on the total value including on the VAT amount since it is works contract.
