This query is : Resolved

05 March 2012 Dear experts

I teach in schools and also give pvt tutions.
what is the rate of tax that is applicable to me and under which head.
also i provide gardening services to my client where i sell plants and give services related to gardening.whhat is the rate of tax that is applicable to me and under which head.
I am a male Individual age 25 years
Looking forward for your revert.

06 March 2012 For Teaching in schools --- Income from Salary.

For giving Pvt. Tutions--- Income from Profession.

For Providing Gardening Services ---> Income from Profession, however it is exempt u/s 10(1) as an agriculture income.

Rate of Tax for First Two clauses is slabwise tax applicable to individuals. However in first case it should be deducted by employer if Gross Income is below Rs. 5 Lakhs.

03 January 2016 I disagree regarding Gardening service as it will not fall under Agricultual Income if the land is not an agricultural Land as per the defination mentioned in income tax Act 1961. Hence Gardining Income will also be taxable under Business & Profession
