If a company distributes incentive in the form of gifts to boost its sales once in a while, besides giving monthly sales incentive to its agents/employees on basis of sales made.

Is TDS applicable on incentive given in form of gift?

09 December 2015 yes if the value of gift exceeds Rs 5000 (cumulative for the year)
