I want to know whether the tax is applicable for Packing and forwarding charges. if applicable. what is the percentage?

Packing and forwarding charges charged in bill is liable for tax.Tax on packing material is payable at the rate applicable on sale of goods so packed, even whether such materials are separately charged for or not as per sect. 7 of Maharashtra VAT Act.
