Tax credit in form as 26

07 August 2011 i have been waiting for my tax refund for ay 10-11.However on checking my Form as 26 online i find that that quite an amount deducted as tds is not reflected in as 26.Follow up with the companies who have deducted tds has been of no avail.What should i do ? Please advise

07 August 2011 You cannot do a lot except asking the company to correct the return. Until and unless they do that, you will not get the refund.

If the company disagrees than another option( though not a good advise) is to ask the company to pay you the amount directly because ultimately that is what you need.

I have done the same with some of my clients, though the other party deducting TDS was Proprietorship only but it may work.
