10 September 2009 you should pass following accounting entry
suppose total interest is rs. 10000.00 and TDS deducted on the same is 1000.00

bank a/c Dr. 9000.00
TDS a/c Dr. 1000.00
to Interest Received 10000.00

and u can claim the TDS from Tax..
