Strategy for CA CPT

This query is : Resolved

27 April 2017 Greetings to all. I am fresh off my CBSE 12th Board exams and I am pursuing CA as my career. I come from the Commerce stream where almost 80% of the CPT syllabus has been covered in grade 11 and 12 for CBSE students. However, I am not familiar with mercantile law in any way. My query relates to how I should go about strategizing towards excelling in the upcoming June 2017 CPT exam. I have already decided not to attend any coaching classes for CPT as I feel it will be poor utilization of time. Any response will be duly appreciated. I wish all the student attempting the CPT exam the very best. Thank you.

28 April 2017 CPT is the easiest part of CA, so ur decision of not taking classes is very well appreciated. Yes in CBSE board approx 80 to 90% of CPT syllabus is covered so its just a waste of money and time for taking classes for that(if a candidate manage it by own). Regarding study schedule u need to maintain time schedule for every day study as u r not engaged in any other work (if u r then better to leave that as the exams are knocking ur door). U have problem in mercantile law, then u need to give more time and focus for the subject, it is not too tough, as u r new to the subject so u r feeling butterflies. So better not to worry, u can manage it very well. All the best for ur exam and future.

28 April 2017 Thank you sir I will carry your valuable advice forward by setting daily and weekly goals. However, the key lies in the implementation of these plans. I once again thank you for your response and great advice
