when is Stcg on sale/redemption of units of mutual funds recognised??

It is recognised at the time of redemption of the units.
If the units have been held for a period of less than 12 months, then the gain shall be short term capital gain.
If the units have been held for a period of less than 12 months, then the gain shall be short term capital gain.
