WHAT HAPPENED TO THE WRIT PETITION FILED BEFORE THE HON'BLE HIGH COURT OF MUMBAI ON SERVICE TAX ON RENT RECEIVED FROM COMERCIAL PROPERTY

THE HON' MUMBAI HIGH COURT DID NOT GRANT ANY STAY.
WHATEVER COLLECTED BE DEPOSITED AND ONLY ON FINAL DISPOASAL OF THE WRIT ,WE WILL KNOW THE DECISION.
MEANWHILE HON'BLE CHENNAI HIGHCOURT GAVE AN INTERIM INJUNCTION AGAINST LEVY OF SERVICE TAX ON RENTALS OF COMMERCIAL PROPERTY TILL 22ND OCTOBER 2007.THIS LEVY THIS COURT FELT IS A STATE SUBJECT AND CENTRE CANNOT LEVY. (REPORTED IN CA CLUB SITE)
