23 March 2011 There is newly incorporated company. Is it correct that services of first Rs.10 lacs are exempt from service tax and only the excess over Rs.10 lacs is taxable since in the previous year there was no turnover.

23 March 2011 If taxable turnover of services > 9 lacs but 10 lacs then full turnover is taxable, first 10 lacs is not exempt,

23 March 2011 taxable turnover more than 9 lacs but less than 10 lacs, registration compulsory but stax exempt
taxable turnover more than 10 lacs, full turnover taxable

24 March 2011 its not slab rate. if you cross 10 Lacs then whole amt. will be taxable.
