Signing of form-16 by different persons

20 May 2013 1) Is it mandatory to sign all the forms comprising the Form-16 by the same person? In other words, can different persons sign the Part-A, Part-B and Form-12BA?
2) Can some Form-16s by one person and someother by another person/persons be signed?

20 May 2013 1) All the parts of the same form 16 should be signed by the same person.

2) Although only the employer or the person responsible for deducting the TDS is allowed to sign the Form 16.

But practically other persons holding the similar positions do also sign on these forms. Till date i had not seen any consequences.
