Shifting of Registered office

25 June 2009 Dear all,

Our company is planning to shift the regd. office at our Factory Premises. presently both the buildings(adminastrative and factory are separate and located in same town but at a distance).

my query is, whether it would amount to shifting office within city limits.
The address would be same after shifting.

plz replyl. its urgent.

25 June 2009 Hi Swati,

Slight change in the regd. office would be treated as change in regd. office address.

For example if three is a change like from I floor to II floor the same would be equal to change in regd. office address.

However the answer above is based on my personal understanding of law. Views of other experts solicited.

In that case u have to pass a simple Board Resolution and file form-18 with 30 days of passing BR.

In my openion If you are keep the property ( at which your registred office situated Presenlty) with you even small room than there is not need to change the address. But if you are selling the same Property than you need to change the Registered address.
