Whether an Individual Recovery Agent is required to take service tax number who is providing recovery services under SARFAESI Act to LIC Housing Finance Ltd.??

If the recovery agent is working for banking company or financial institution or a non-banking company then he is not required to take service tax number, because the activity is under reverse charge. Otherwise he need to take service tax number if his services exceed Rs. 10 lakhs.
